Two unique country property projects in the Jalon Valley, only 1 km from the village

A special opportunity in the Jalon Valley consisting of two separate rural plots, each offering the possibility to create an individual country home. The plots can be purchased separately or together and are situated only about 1 km from the village, yet in a wonderfully peaceful and private countryside setting.

Importantly, much of the difficult groundwork has already been done. Existing licences are in place for both plots, giving a future owner a significant head start compared with beginning a rural development project from scratch. Although the projects and licences will require the necessary adaptations and approvals for their intended residential use, having reached this stage can save the buyer considerable time, uncertainty and expense.

The two plots share a private access driveway, but the proposed houses are positioned sufficiently far apart to provide plenty of privacy and independence.

Plot 1 – Approx. 1.6 hectares

The larger plot comprises approximately 16,000 m² (1.6 hectares) of agricultural land and offers the opportunity to create a unique country home surrounded by nature.

A building licence has already been granted. The existing project will need to be adapted to the current legally permitted maximum building area, providing the new owner with the opportunity to create a personally designed country house within the applicable planning regulations.

This makes it a particularly interesting proposition for someone wishing to create a private rural home, with the potential for an off-grid and self-sufficient lifestyle.

Plot 2 – Approx. 1.2 hectares with a second country home opportunity

The smaller plot offers the possibility of developing a second country home. A previous licence was granted for a different type of building, but this use is no longer permitted. The project would therefore need to be adapted for residential use and submitted for the necessary approval.

A particularly charming feature of this plot is the existing traditional dry-stone finca of approximately 98 m². Full of rustic character, this little finca could be ideal as an artist's studio, atelier, workshop or other ancillary space, subject to the applicable regulations.

Peace, privacy and rural character

The two plots can be purchased individually or together. When combined, they provide an interesting opportunity to create two independent country properties within the same rural setting. Although they share the same access driveway, the distance between the proposed houses allows both properties to retain their own sense of space and privacy.

Across the land you will find olive, fig, apricot and walnut trees. The agricultural land has traditionally been used for vines and olives, and the current owners have also obtained licences to plant new vines and olive trees. The land has been well maintained, with considerable work carried out over the years.

The attraction of this location is not about sweeping panoramic views. Instead, it offers something quite different: a sheltered and secluded position with a very rural atmosphere. It is wonderfully quiet and private, surrounded by countryside and nature, yet remarkably close to the village.

The Jalon Valley and surroundings

It is hard to believe that the Mediterranean coast is only around twenty minutes away. The Jalon Valley combines traditional Spanish village life with beautiful countryside, while the beaches and coastal towns of the Costa Blanca remain within easy reach.

The area is ideal for hiking and cycling, with picturesque routes through vineyards, almond and olive groves and traditional villages. A little further away, the impressive Sierra de Bernia provides wonderful walking routes and spectacular views towards the Mediterranean.

Alicante and Valencia airports are both accessible, making the area an attractive option for either permanent living or a country retreat.

For those looking for more than a finished property, this is an opportunity to create something personal: one or two individual country homes in a peaceful, private corner of the Jalon Valley.
